The new visitor centre covers almost 900 square metres and combines an informative exhibition with interactive stations that can be explored using a digital smart guide. Here, visitors can experience fascinating insights into the world of aviation even before the factory tour begins.
In addition to its function as the start and end point of the Airbus factory tours, the area can also be used for events and functions. A particular highlight is the direct view of the runway of the Airbus factory premises - including the impressive Beluga XL, which already caused a sensation during the construction phase.
An experience for all target groups
Whether school class, tourist group or aviation enthusiast, the centre is aimed at a wide audience. The aim is to convey the fascination of aviation in an emotional, informative and immersive way. "We don't just want to provide insights into the production of one of the most modern aircraft factories in the world," explains Christoph Rische, Managing Director of Globetrotter Erlebnis GmbH. "Rather, we want to make the entire visitor journey - from the first step to the last stop - an unforgettable experience. The new centre offers the perfect starting point for this, directly at the Airbus main gate in Finkenwerder."
The 900 square metre space is also an exciting event location. The combination of two flight simulators, a Moxy Hotel, the Ciao Bella restaurant and the Airbus plant with its neighbours also offers many opportunities at the interface between the city of Hamburg and the Altes Land region.
