The Werkgut is located in the middle of the Aukrug Nature Park, Schleswig Hosltein, just 65 kilometres from Hamburg.
Creative weekend workshops and weddings are usually held here.
There are 11 guest rooms with self-catering kitchens and a tiny house in two buildings. There is also a 45 square metre studio and seminar room that can be used all year round and is suitable for creative work and workshops with up to 14 participants, lectures and small concerts with up to 60 spectators, conferences with up to 30 participants, group work or meals with up to 35 people. Small celebrations can also be organised here. Sporting events such as yoga or Pilates are also possible.
The heart of the main courtyard is the former stable and barn with its sweeping staircase. This is where arts and crafts workshops, large conferences and lectures, concerts/readings/theatre with up to 100 spectators or large celebrations such as weddings with up to 80 people can be held. From here there is access to a large garden, which can be used for working, moving and relaxing, but also for free weddings or events.
There is also a co-working workshop in a separate part of the old barn, where creative work can be carried out in the fields of ceramics, sculpture, screen printing and enamelling. The workshop is equipped with turning discs, ceramic tools, kilns, easels, workbenches, sculpting tools, enamelling tools, enamel kilns, screen printing screens and materials.
The surrounding forest is ideal for cycling and hiking tours, horse riding or simply forest bathing. There is a sauna on the farm for after work. There are also horses on the farm, as well as space for trail riders.
Breakfast or half-board can be provided on request, as well as drinks or coffee and cake.
On the farm there is a large flowering meadow for insects, nesting boxes for bats and owls, seasonal and organic products are favoured. We try to work exclusively with regional partners (beverage supplier, food). There is a large solar system on the roof of the barn.
Rental period is freely negotiable
