What sustainability initiatives does the venue implement?
Sustainability at the Vision Campus
Sustainability is a core principle of the Vision Campus – embedded in every stage from construction to daily operation. The entire complex is built to the latest energy-efficiency standards and powered by 100% green electricity. A large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof and façade supplies over 60% of the site’s own energy needs, while modern heat pumps ensure efficient heating and cooling. Intelligent lighting control, LED technology, and real-time energy monitoring further reduce consumption.
In construction, we focus on longevity and responsibility: recyclable, durable materials, regional supply chains, and low-emission finishes are standard. Green outdoor areas, permeable surfaces, and rainwater harvesting help protect natural resources and improve the microclimate.
Mobility is designed to be sustainable, with electric charging stations, bicycle parking, company bike programs, and shuttle services from Schwäbisch Hall station. The event and studio operations are fully waste-conscious – no single-use plastics, strict waste separation, and reusable systems. Catering emphasizes regional sourcing, seasonal products, and at least 70% vegetarian and vegan options.
Film and photo productions are carried out with minimal environmental impact through LED lighting, digital workflows, and CO₂-reduced logistics. Green spaces, native plants, and nesting sites support biodiversity across the campus.
