Der Name „Seifenfabrik“ stammt aus der Geschichte des Gebäudes: Das heutige Veranstaltungszentrum befindet sich in einer ehemaligen industriellen Produktionsstätte, in der tatsächlich Seife hergestellt wurden. Die charakteristischen Backsteinmauern erinnern noch heute an diese industrielle Vergangenheit – und verleihen der Location ihren ganz besonderen Charme.
