Where once impressive steam locomotives were repaired and maintained, where the smell of soot, coal, iron and lubricating oil was in the air, an impressive backdrop can still be seen today: historic machine tools, restored wagons, steam boilers and engines disassembled into individual parts, diesel engines, huge locomotive axles, vehicles waiting to be restored - on the 27,500 square metre site and in the locomotive hall relics of an almost bygone era can be seen. They lend an unmistakable charm to the most diverse events, whether under the roof or in the open air.
