Kunstverein Wagenhalle e.V.

The Kunstverein Wagenhalle has built a unique production area in the former waggon repair shop of the Königlich Württembergischen Staats-Eisenbahn (Royal Wurttemberg State Railway) The Wagenhalle and the accompanying buildings house studios and workshops of artists and cultural workers of all kinds of arts.

The Kunstverein offers two eventlocations (Projektraum, Tor 5) and also a lobby, an inner yard and additional outside areas. If necessary and available artist studios can also be booked, which offers many flexible options, ideal for different types of events like meetings, workshops, barcamps, concerts, festivals, exhibitions etc.

Cultural, social and public organisations and artists as event organisers are most welcome.

Projektraum

The Projektraum with 1.350 square feet can accomodate 430 persons (standing) und 216 persons (seated).

Tor 5

Tor 5 (Gate 5) offers 240 squarefeet and is suitable for Workshops, creative events for up to 40 persons.

Innenhof

The Innenhof (inner yard) can be booked additionally with the Projektraum and with Tor 5, In the inner yard stage events can be organised. It is also usable for example as lounge area or area for foodstalls and foodtrucks.

outside areas

Outside areas around the Wagenhalle can also be booked aditionally with the Projektraum and with Tor 5. They can be used individually on agreement.

Stadtbahn: lines U5, U6, U7, U15 to station Pragfriedhof, ca. 5 min. walking distance via Hedwig-Dohm-Straße downhill between Pragfriedhof an Berufsschule (cemetery and vocational school).

S-Bahn: lines S4, S5, S6, S60 to Nordbahnhof, 10 min. walking distance via Presselstraße to Hedwig-Dohm-Straße downhill between Pragfriedhof and Berufsschule (cemetery and vocational school).
