In our natural, beautiful surroundings, we wish you a relaxing stay in our guest room or on the large outdoor terrace, directly on the pond. Freshly caught fish, but also meat and vegetarian dishes, as well as soups, starters and desserts and salad from our large salad buffet can be found on our extensive menu. Children and dogs are always welcome.

Explore the idyllic Riedbach Valley - "the green paradise" - located in the Meissner Nature Park. Be enchanted by the beauty of nature, the cherry blossom between the romantic towns of Witzenhausen, Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Grossalmerode and Hessisch Lichtenau. After wonderful walks over wooded heights, as well as through meadows and valleys, and a visit to the largest cave in Hessen (entrance almost on the doorstep), the Forellenhof team welcomes you and serves you popular trout and char specialities from daily fresh fish catches and other delicacies (various schnitzel variations, game goulash) in a refined atmosphere. Each main course comes with a salad, which you can put together yourself from our extensive salad buffet. Enjoy in peace and quiet on our large outdoor terrace by the water. In addition to fried trout, we also offer e.g. trout blue and freshly smoked trout daily, also to take away. We also cater for the little ones, with a children's playground and, of course, children's chairs. Our aviary with the pink cockatoos also delights young and old again and again. In addition to our guest room, the cosy, bright hall offers plenty of space for company or family celebrations. Contact us if you are looking for a location. Fishing is another experience at our romantic fishing ponds, also for the whole family. Handicapped accessible parking spaces are located directly in front of the house. The interior is also barrier-free.
